Description

“What I treasure most in life is being able to dream. During my most difficult moments and complex situations I have been able to dream of a more beautiful future."
- Nobel Laureate Rigoberta Menchú Tum

Join us for a special session to hear words of wisdom and inspiration from Nobel Laureate Rigoberta Menchú and how she has tirelessly worked to make sustainable change.

Upon seeing the suffering of her people, the Mayan indigenous of Guatemala, Rigoberta Menchú raised global awareness of their oppression, working to secure their civil and political rights, and leaving behind a legacy of humanitarian organizations that continue to support indigenous groups today.

The Rigoberta Menchú Tum Foundation provides healthcare, housing, urban planning, and aid for agricultural production. The foundation also strives to unify different groups of indigenous people and to promote mutual cooperation.

This session will include live discussion and pre-recorded content. Rigoberta Menchú Tum's participation will be via video message.
